Forms of imprisonment

Implementation methods Imprisonment, detention and special criminal law reactions can be implemented

a) in a prison with a high level of security (closed prison),
b) in prisons with a lower security level (open prison),
c) in transitional housing,
d) outside prison with special conditions according to § 16, or
e) as released on probation with conditions pursuant to section 43, second paragraph.

Prison wards with a high level of security can be arranged for prisoners with special needs, including persons who have been sentenced to a special criminal reaction or detention, or arranged with a particularly high level of security.

Punishment may be carried out for 12-hour stays in institutions or hospitals pursuant to sections 13 and XNUMX.
