Minors

Only inmates' own children are allowed in, all child visits must take place in relation to what is in the best interests of the child. We therefore ask you to think carefully about the child's need to visit the inmate in prison, as long as it is not the child's father who is in prison (this must be documented and submitted with the application). Before a visit from a child can be approved, an application form (use a regular control form), birth certificate, any confirmations must be submitted. ALL children must be approved before booking a visit can take place.

In the absence of documentation, the application will not be processed until everything is available.

Inmates' own children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a caregiver during the visit (mother / guardian, any approval from mother / guardian is required if others in a close relationship are to accompany the child).

As a general rule, persons aged 16-18 are not allowed to visit prisoners alone, this means that at least one other of the visitors must be over 18 years of age. Persons aged 16-18 who do not accompany their guardians must have a power of attorney from both guardians.
Minors aged 15-18 will be checked for good behavior.
